Management of the BL classroom includes teaching students how to use the internet, evaluate information, computer literacy, and most importantly be a good digital citizen. Address these issues during the 1st week of school along with classroom expectations. The Internet Driver’s license is a must for all students. There are many components and when a students is caught playing games or bullying online they are required to retake the quizzes for that imbreachment and get re-certified. If a student is caught off task on the computers or touching anothers computer, they relinquish their computers and must use books.
Troubleshooting tips are an important part of using technology. We all become frustrated when websites do work, internet is slow, etc. We can help by showing them a few things up front, i.e. how to evaluate your internet connection, icon for page loading, breathing techniques are helpful too.
